The 4-star smoke-free Chic&Basic Gravity Hotel Porto is situated right in the centre of Porto merely 11 minutes' walk from the art deco Rivoli Theatre. Boasting a location within reach of Cordoaria's Garden, the comfortable hotel offers 70 rooms and a lounge bar onsite.

Location

The hotel in União de Freguesias do Centro, which is a great choice for travellers interested in architecture, wine and city walks is 2.3 km from the cultural heritage monument "Bom Sucesso Market" and 900 metres from such shopping venues as the lavishly designed historic Livraria Lello Book Store. The Gravity Porto gives access to the Stock Exchange Bolsa Palace, which is 2.7 km away.

Standing 950 metres away, Chapel of Souls is a hard-to-miss divine tourist destination.

I appreciated the hotel's decor. It had a unique, quirky charm. happy hour offered a lovely touch. the staff was helpful and kind, they always had a smile. underground parking was available, very convenient...

the hallway on our floor seemed dimly lit. the carpet looked slightly worn.

The reception staff was genuinely helpful. I completed check-in quickly. The hotel restaurant served tasty food. I enjoyed it!

The hallway on my floor had dim lighting. I noticed the carpet looked quite dirty. The bar outside the hotel was very loud late into the night. It bothered me a lot.

Excellent Stay with Helpful Staff

helpful staff big bed

the staff were helpful and happy. the location was great and the breakfast was excellent. the bed was really big for tall people.

there were two issues with my stay. one, the bar outside the hotel is busy at night. there are people partying until 3am every night. the room was directly above it, and i could hear people outside all night long.

the hotel is close to many attractions. it is also conveniently near public transport links, with access to various parts of the city. this makes exploring local sites very straightforward.

air conditioning street noise

the room was clean, i guess, that was something.

the air conditioning didn't work properly. it was either too cold or too hot. also, the noise from the street kept me awake half the nights, even though i requested a quiet room. i asked to get a room far from the street, but they said they didn't have any available.
